ABOUT
Mike DiBiase - Owner / Audio Engineer
Mike DiBiase is an award-winning audio engineer, audio director, music producer and composer with over 15 years of industry experience. Mike spent the majority of his career working at Hasbro's in-house production facility, producing, engineering and composing audio content for all of Hasbro’s brands. Spending nearly a decade with the company, Mike created and delivered over 1,000 projects for global distribution in television, animation, film, web, and toy. By the end
of his tenure at Hasbro, Mike had played a major role in the creation and leadership of the company's in-house audio
post-production department.
After leaving Hasbro in 2014, Mike was hired to lead the massive renovation, redesign, and expansion of the world-class recording facility at Power Station New England. Mike had a specific vision for the studio and its future success necessitated a major overhaul from the ground up. All in all, this massive undertaking took three and a half years to complete. Mike spearheaded all aspects of this endeavor from creating budgets and business plans to hand-selecting vintage and modern gear that would catch the eye of many industry producers, engineers, and artists - the crown jewel being a vintage Neve 8068. A major component of this overhaul was to design and implement newer technologies and efficiencies that would help support the modern-day studio workflow. To ensure that his final vision for the studio would be successfully achieved both technically and aesthetically, Mike assembled and worked alongside a team of some of the top consultants and vendors in the industry.
It wasn't all work and no play during those three and a half years at Power Station New England. While the renovation was still going on, Mike was able to find the time to be part of many great projects. A few highlights were, getting to work with the incredibly talented Hiromi and her trio project, Spark, along with Anthony Jackson and Simon Phillips, Adrianna Marie and Her Roomful Allstars, and Kilgore just to name a few. Of course, none of this would have been possible if it hadn't been for the knowledge passed on down from some of the best engineers and producers in the business. Mike has had the fortune of working with and learning from industry legends such as Andy Wallace, Michael Brauer, Bill Scheniman, and good friend, Theo Crous.
With all the knowledge amassed over the past decade and a half, from the days of Hasbro through to the completion of the Power Station New England project, Mike has turned his focus onto his next endeavor. So here we go again, back to our roots, it's just like clockwork.
